Cancer research has made significant advances in the last several decades.

  • The rate of survivorship of cancer patients for 5 years has risen from 50% to 66% since the 1970s.
  • Care for the quality of life of survivors has also improved greatly, including the social, emotional, financial, and physical impacts of dealing with the disease.

In short, research makes a difference!
